HydroCourier
Humanitarian Water Delivery Program
HydroCourier is a dedicated humanitarian initiative focused on delivering safe drinking water and essential supplies to communities affected by conflict and infrastructure disruption. The program is implemented in partnership with HydroCourier as the main operational delivery partner and Democracy House as the main humanitarian and coordination partner.
In many frontline-adjacent areas, large water tankers cannot safely remain on site for extended periods. HydroCourier uses smaller, highly mobile delivery units to transport water directly to residents, reducing risk exposure and improving access for people who are unable to travel.
Program activities
Support for transportation needs of humanitarian teams and community volunteers
Rapid deployment to areas experiencing loss of utilities or limited transport access
Delivery of safe drinking water to households and local distribution points
Technical maintenance and field repair to keep delivery vehicles operational
Coordination with local authorities, communities, and aid organizations to prioritize critical locations
Operational approach
The program prioritizes safety, speed, and reliability. Mobile delivery methods enable faster response, broader coverage, and reduced operational risk in unstable environments. All vehicles and equipment are used strictly for civilian humanitarian purposes.
Objective
To maintain continuous access to safe drinking water, support essential humanitarian needs, and strengthen the resilience of communities affected by crisis.
